The Centre for Defence Communications and Information Networking research in a number of areas including
- Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs), in particular, through experimental research undertaken via the South Australian Networking Laboratory
- Tactical Data Information Links (TADILs), developing systems for analysing the performance of TADILs and modelling and simulation of next generation TADILs systems
- Analysis of the usage of Satellite Communications in operational environments and developing systems for minimising costs.
- Research and development of real-time network emulation systems.
